Richard Davies, is a Managing Director with Yendall Hunter with more than 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction industries. He is focused on time related disputes within construction, infrastructure, transport, telecoms and IT sectors.
Richard has worked with clients across a range of industries including; airports, highways, rail, healthcare, commercial and residential buildings, shipbuilding, water supply and sewerage systems, IT and telecoms in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He has been appointed as an independent expert in relation to delay and programming issues in Arbitrations (ICC), litigation (UK’s Technology and Construction Court), Mediations and Adjudications. He has given oral evidence and been cross examined before international arbitral tribunals.
Richard has also undertaken reviews of programme and project governance on a wide variety of live projects, advising on procurement, planning and risk issues on a consultancy basis. He has created Master Schedules for a government client to understand the timings and interdependencies of its entire infrastructure portfolio.
Prior to joining Yendall Hunter, Richard was a Director with the Construction Disputes team at Alvarez & Marsal. Before that, Richard was a Senior Manager in the Forensic Services team of PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. Before joining PwC he worked as a Civil Engineer for five years in the construction industry, for the civil and structural design consultants Halcrow Group (now part of Jacobs).
Richard is a Chartered Civil Engineer by profession. He earned an upper second bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and professionally registered with the Engineering Council.
