Martin Hunter is the co-founder and a Managing Director of Yendall Hunter Limited based in London. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with an LLB from the University of Glasgow. He has more than 30 years of experience in the construction sector, with over 20 years of experience in construction-related disputes, serving in both in advisory and expert witness related roles.
Prior to co-founding Yendall Hunter in 2015, Martin was a partner at Alvarez & Marsal for six years co-heading the international Construction Disputes & Advisory practice with Andrew Yendall. Before that Martin was a Managing Director with Navigant Consulting in London and a key member of the Construction Disputes teams at PwC, KPMG and Marsh & McLennan.
He has been appointed on more than 50 occasions as an independent expert on delay and quantum matters in relation to complex construction and engineering projects globally. His experience spans power, civil engineering, defence, real estate, oil & gas, healthcare, process and renewables.
In addition to complex engineering and construction matters, he has been involved in IT and software related matters and shipbuilding disputes.
He has appeared as an independent expert on delay matters and given oral testimony at the High Court in London, in international arbitration (ICC/ LCIA/UNCITRAL/DIAC/ICSID), mediation, DAB and adjudication proceedings, both in the UK and internationally.
Prior to acting as an independent expert, he was involved in all aspects of commercial construction projects, both working for contracting organisations in the general and defence sectors and in private practice.
