Denis Singleton, is a Managing Director with Yendall Hunter. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the construction and engineering sector, with more than 20 years of experience in construction-related disputes, assisting clients on both advisory and expert witness-related projects. Denis has worked on projects located in the U.S., South America, U.K., Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Denis has prepared delay and quantum analyses for both public and private sector clients, including government, owners, contractors, subcontractors and consultants in the engineering and construction fields, working under a variety of contractual arrangements such as EPC, DBOT, Fixed Price/Lump Sum and GMP.
Denis has assisted clients in the resolution of disputes in relation to more than 100 different projects.
These projects have included the construction of power plants, tunnels, rail transport facilities, stadiums, arenas, pipelines, floating production storage and off-loading vessels, hotels, casinos, office and residential buildings, government facilities including libraries, courthouses and embassies, airports, prisons, telecommunications facilities and process plants.
Denis has undertaken reviews of projects on behalf of clients to provide risk assessment associated with on-going construction work in relation to cost and schedule status reporting. He has also assisted in the preparation of completion and acceleration schedules as well as cost investigations to establish the appropriateness of claimed expenditures in evaluations relating to suspected fraud.
Prior to joining Yendall Hunter, Denis was a senior director within the Construction Disputes & Advisory practice at Alvarez & Marsal for six years. Prior to that, Denis was an Associate Director with Navigant Consulting in New York and Chicago, a Director in the Construction Disputes and Capital Projects teams at InteCap/Charles River and also worked on construction dispute related matters while employed at PwC and Barrington Consulting. Denis also has prior experience working at an engineering firm specialising in civil engineering design associated with residential, commercial and infrastructure development.
Denis holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign specialising in Construction Management.
